A camera continuously records and transmits the image of the wooden chair in front of it to the monitor below. The external observer can see that it does not "broadcast" what is actually present, but only what is visible. The shadow of the chair, formed by dominoes and extending for a long distance, is invisible to the "all-seeing media." The camera mediates and selects, limits and regulates the sensory experience of reality, and thus cannot replace it (see "media criticism").
