sound installation (empty Turkish bath, footbridge, speakers, tape recorder, amplifier, human speech played back slow)
“Turkish” Bath (Mill Lake), Budapest, 1996
Mined with speakers, a footbridge cobbled from planks spans the “dried-out” pool of an old bath, which is now
also used as an exhibition space. Instead of explosives, speakers are attached to the log pillars of the structure,
which relay mumbling speech slowed down to near incomprehensibility.
